HP are on a drive to bring their premium range of desktop computers, printers, laptops and accessories to you through their newly launched stores, and they look great.
Moving away from the white monotone styles of their competition, they have opted for a very warm feel, lots of wood, soft lighting, but above all great merchandise. We visited the new store at the Eastgate mall and were not disappointed.
When we visited, we were welcomed by a group of very friendly staff, the focus was on educating us as to the benefits of the wide range of HP products that they have on offer.
What impressed me most was the price variation between the same models, but with different finishes, in other words you have a choice of “chassis” (outer shell, aluminium or the normal hardened plastic, and its not really a compromise, rather than a preference of choice of finish), but here’s the main point, the operating specs essentially remain the same, so in essence its not a lesser specked model, just more affordably packaged.
