What do I need to know about Car Insurance ?

  1. Car insurance is a necessity, as accidents and unplanned events happen far too frequently, causing disruptions to our daily routine and especially to our pockets
  2. It should be customised to fit your individual requirements to ensure you are not paying too much for your insurance
  3. Ensure you have sufficient cover, should you have a loss to your vehicle or incur damage to another party

There are 3 main types of Car Insurance that an individual can choose from. They are:

  • Comprehensive Car Cover

This is the best kind of cover for new vehicles, high-priced vehicles and vehicles with high mileage. Comprehensive Cover for your car gives you complete protection against theft, natural disaster and accidental damage.

  • Third Party, Fire and Theft Cover

This kind of cover covers your vehicle against fire, theft and hi-jacking. This cover is affordable if you have an average mileage vehicle or if your car is almost paid off. Third Party, Fire & Theft Cover doesn’t cover your vehicle against accidental damage, it only covers damage that you have incurred to a Third Party vehicle and any injury or accidental death to a third party.

  • Third Party Car Cover

The above cover is a low-cost insurance option which only covers the accidental damage you may inflict to another vehicle and injury or death of any third party involved in the accident. Cover is limited because this kind of car insurance is suggested if your budget is tight, if you own a older vehicle or if you hardly utilize your car.

Now you can get car insurance that suits your specific needs and budget.
