Exercise hosts many benefits for ones health and wellness – but how does it impact your work life? Read on to find out how exercise benefits your overall well-being.

Stress reduction:  Exercise has been proven to better your physical and mental stress levels. If you’ve had a tough day at the office, use your lunch break to go for a walk or a light run. Alternatively, go to gym after work. You certainly won’t regret it! “The only workout you regret is the once that didn’t happen”

Self-confidence: If you feel fantastic, you will exude your positivity onto your colleagues and peers. This will also have a positive impact on your work

Helps you sleep: Exercise is proven to help you sleep better. This of course has a positive result on your working day – you will find yourself working harder and more efficiently. Working out increases the amount of sleeping hours you get, as well as improves the quality of your deepest sleep.

Improves mental activity: Regular exercise has been shown to improve concentration and memory retention – you could find your work day being incredibly productive!

Boosts your immune system: Frequent exercise has shown to improve your immune system.  Less sick days equates to more time in the office and increased productivity!

So, don’t make excuses. There is always time to exercise – and if there isn’t, you can certainly make time to do so.  You will thank yourself (and so will your boss) in the long run!
